We carbon offset every Zixty policy for free as a matter of course. You don’t need to do anything – just buy a policy on the web, or in the app. We then work with Eden Reforestation on your behalf.

Once you’re a Zixty customer, if you enable Zixty Miles in the app, we will CO2 offset up to 100 miles of driving every day that you’re a customer. We’ll measure your driving while you’re a customer, and then offset the CO2 we believe your journeys would have created. Drive more carefully, and we may offset more CO2 than was generated – potentially making your journeys carbon negative
An eco policy – not a black-box policy
We don’t monitor or measure your driving for any reason other than to calculate your driving CO2 emissions. We’re not a black-box/ telematics policy, and Zixty Miles is absolutely free.

How do you calculate my driving CO2?
When you enable Zixty Miles for your policy, we measure your driving using your smartphone. From your vehicle registration we know the CO2 for your car, and we then offset the CO2 we calculate you would have generated – based on “median” driving. This takes your speed, braking, acceleration, and deceleration into account. Drive very carefully, and we may offset more CO2 than you created.
What makes Zixty temporary car insurance green?
